Torrox
Torrox is a beautiful small village in the Costa del Sol region of Spain with picture-postcard charm and a magical quality. Perhaps it’s the maze of narrow interweaving streets lined with beautiful bleached homes with their potted colourful flowering plants and the natural beauty and serenity of this village that endear it to tourists and visitors alike.
Situated 47kms to the east of Malaga, this village lies on the picturesque highway called ‘Route of Sun and Wine.’ With a population of just 12,000 people, Torrox seems to swell in size during the summer months due to an influx of tourists and holiday makers! Like most beach resort towns in the Costa del Sol, Spain, Torrox is also witnessing rapid commercialisation such as the newly constructed high-rise apartment blocks and villas that offer excellent rental accommodation for visiting families and older couples. Most of the rental properties are sea facing and situated along the village’s 9km long shoreline.
The fabulous weather that averages between 18C to 23C gives Torrox the distinction of having one of the best climates in Europe! The sunny days are offset by cool sea breeze that is both fresh and revitalising. However from July to September the days are hot and humid with temperatures soaring to 40C and over.
