Marbella Beaches
Marbella has no shortage of beautiful beaches; in fact there are twenty four fantastic beaches all offering something slightly different.
You can walk for miles along the Marbella coastline often referred to as the Golden Mile. The stretch is full of shops, cafes and restaurants along with the Plaza del Mar shopping complex which is home to the Supersol Supermarket.
With so many beaches to choose from we’ve selected a few highlights along Marbella’s golden coastline.
Guadalmina
Guadalmina is located in the small town of San Pedro de Alcantara, approximately four miles to the west of central Marbella. The beach stretches over 1.5km and is a typically beautiful Mediterranean beach. There are various water sports on offer including jet skis, windsurfs and pedelos which can be hired at reasonable prices.
Guadalmina has good visitor facilities including showers and public toilets.
The area around the beach hosts a wide variety of seafront shops, cafes and restaurants.
Los Monteros
Los Monteros beach is another popular beach situated on the Marbella seafront. Los Monteros offers fantastic golden sands, making it a great beach for sunbathing and swimming and is therefore predictably popular with tourists. Similar to Guadalmina this beach offers a wide range of water sports – a brilliant way to explore the Med in the Spanish sun.
La Vibora
La Vibora is located close to a river of the same name and is another popular tourist beach. The sea is clear and warm making it pleasant for swimming and water sports.
La Vibora is generally a quieter beach making it an ideal choice for those that like to escape from the busier tourist areas. Despite this the beach is not short of facilities with toilets, sun beds and various refreshment stalls available.
Calahonda
Calahonda beach is a gem located on the outskirts of the Marbella stretch. The sand here can be described as blonde and is usually a little less busy than the more central Marbella beaches. Calahonda offers good shower and toilet facilities and has a wide range of beachfront restaurants and beach clubs.
If you walk or drive along the Marbella seafront you can’t fail to find a beach that suits you. The Mediterranean Sea offers some of the world’s best and safest swimming opportunities perfectly complimented by beaches made up of golden sands.
The beaches along the Costa del Sol are great for relaxing or even recovering before and after lively nights out in the vibrant resorts.
