Fuengirola is a lively, busy cosmopolitan town, located on the coastal region of Malaga in Spain. Considered a melting pot of multi-ethnic nationalities, it holds much appeal for holiday makers with families and children. Fuengirola Attractions

From fun-filled activities at the Aqua Park, to an adventurous trip to the Fuengirola Zoo, to a toy train or horse-drawn carriage ride around the beautiful town, there is so much to see and do. Outdoor activities like swimming, water sports, sailing, and beach volleyball are hugely popular with visitors and locals alike! For golf lovers, Fuengirola is the ultimate destination, as it is located right in the centre of the Costa del Golf (the Costa’s golfing territory).

Sohail Castle, a town landmark, perched on top of a hill just outside the town, offers impressive views of the resort and the glittering Mediterranean Sea. Ruins of the Roman thermal baths and of the ancient Roman highway at Torreblanca are also a popular attractions. The Palacio de la Paz (Town Hall) with its large Central Square is an ideal choice for relaxing. 
However the biggest and grandest attraction of Fuengirola is the long stretch of sun-kissed, golden sandy beaches and the palm fringed roads and colourful flower beds.

 

Fuengirola Beaches

Fuengirola has 7 main beaches - Los Boliches, Carvajal, Torreeblanca, San Francisco, Las Gaviotas, Sta. Amalia and El Egido. Three out of the seven beaches - Los Boliches, Gaviotas and Torreblanca - have European blue flags each and are very safe and clean.

 

Fuengirola Shopping

For shopaholics, Tuesday is the big day! It’s the market day with El Baratillo de Fuengirola, the weekly market, set up in the heart of the town. The Saturday flea market is also a good chance for shopaholics to quench their shopping thirst.

 

Fuengirola Restaurants

Fuengirola is highly popular with tourists with its wide variety of restaurants. Satiate your appetite with Spanish traditional tapas, local fish grill houses, or popular restaurants like The London Pub (at the beach front), the Beetle Bar, Moochers Jazz Café and Restaurant and Linekar's Bar (for sport fans). Bar Kudos and Stuart's are popular gay bars.

 

Fuengirola Nightlife

Fuengirola’s vibrant pulsating nightlife with a wide selection of music from hip-hop to pop and rock to flamenco will keep you entertained until its dawn. Prime places for evening action are
The Fuengirola marina and the waterfront promenade where bars and clubs pump out tunes until the early hours.
