Costa del Sol villas perfect choice for expats
Rental villas are ideal for road testing an area
Renting a villa in the Costa del Sol is one of the best ways to ‘road test’ an area before making a permanent move to the region. Brits looking to start a new life in the Costa del Sol should try renting a villa in their desired location for 3-4 weeks to give them a more comprehensive opinion of the area according to Paul Bradley, a spokesperson for the Spanish Property Owners Guild.
Bradley believes that spending just a short holiday in an area can give potential expats the wrong impression as to what day to day life may be like, however by renting a holiday home for an extended period of time Brits can experience a more realistic lifestyle “with increasing local knowledge you will be more qualified to make a more informed long-term decision” he explained.
Brits considering a move to Spain can rent villas in Spain directly from the owner and in some cases can benefit from lower rates for longer rental periods.
