Bull brings panic to Marbella streets

A 200 kilo bull went on a rampage through Marbella yesterday after escaping from the town’s bullring. The bull caused 40 minutes of havoc by running 700 meters around Marbella’s central streets before being shot dead by police.

The bull had escaped from Marbella bullring on Tuesday morning and injured three women during the rampage including one women at the bullring and an elderly lady along Avenida Arias de Velasco, who was later taken to the Costa del Sol hospital although her injuries are not thought to be serious.

The animal was eventually stopped by police who had to use 15 shots to kill it and bring calm back to the streets of Marbella.
