Fuengirola

In Fuengirola, the beachfront is flanked by one of the longest promenades on the Costa del Sol - it was recently widened and landscaped by the local authorities to provide the perfect venue for the traditional Spanish "paseo", the popular past time of promenading with no particular destination in mind!

Fuengirola is a tourist's paradise and one of the most cosmopolitan towns on the Coast. Fuengirola offers all the facilities of a major tourist centre, restaurants, bars, discotheques, sports clubs, etc. Broad beaches flank the city east and west with newly built 'chiringuitos' - simple beach side restaurants - offer typical dishes such as cold vegetable soup, skewered sardines, small fish, etc. Apart from the general attractions of a tourist centre, Fuengirola offers a number of interesting venues such as the Roman baths at Torreblanca, the Arab castle of Suhayl, the Outdoor Museum exhibiting paintings by a variety of artists, the Yacht Harbour, Yacht Club, fantastic golf courses, and a large shopping centre.

Mijas Pueblo Village
Tourism and the expatriate resident population have made their mark on Mijas which has a distinctly cosmopolitan flavour with international restaurants, clubs and bars. Yet the municipality has managed to retain its old world charm and has a reputation as a holiday spot for the more discerning tourist. You won't find any major boulevards and main thoroughfares here - Mijas is a delightful maze of narrow cobbled streets and archways with picture postcard houses, red tiled roofs and balconies ablaze with brightly coloured geraniums.

A white village of character and charm, Mijas village sits above the Mediterranean looking out across Fuengirola to the Mountains of North Africa and the entrance to the Mediterranean. 5 miles from the busy beach scene of the coast, it retains it's air of tranquility and a glimpse of the old ways of Spanish life. Only 25 minutes from Malaga or Marbella, 2 hours from Seville, Granada and Cordoba and just over an hour to Gibraltar, the area is packed full of history, architecture, romance and interest. For the less adventurous or active it provides the perfect base from which to enjoy hot lazy days and cool glasses of wine.

La Cala de Mijas
La Cala is one of the most popular areas on the Costa del Sol, it was once said to be the coasts. It still has the uniqueness of a Spanish Village with a school, church & family run shops & restaurants, yet has certainly moved with the times, with a supermarket, swish restaurants and bars and hotel. There are also banks and a bureau de exchange.

Calahonda
Calahonda is situated between Marbella and Fuengirola approx 25 mins drive from malaga airport. A popular area with the tourists as the location is quiet but not to far from the restaurants and the beach. Both are within walking distance or just a couple of minutes by car. All that you need can be found at Calahonda-For the energetic there is a Health club, with tennis courts, Gymnasium, squash and many more activities. There is also a 9 hole golf course and clubhouse Just a few minutes away

Riviera del Sol
A popular area immediately next to Calahonda it is within walking distance of many amenities including the beach, restaurants, bars, newsagents, shops, supermarkets, golf course, tennis club, and the local weekly market

Miraflores
Located immediately next to Riviera del Sol and Calahonda, Miraflores is a collection of urbanization, a small commercial center with shops and bars and the popular Miraflores Golf Course

Puerto Cabopino
Puerto Cabopino with it's beautiful marina and many fine restaurants. Capobino also has one of the sandiest beaches on the Costa. There is a direct access road via a foot bridge over the A7 (N340) to these places. It is also a 15 minute drive to Marbella & Puerto Banus in one direction and Mijas & Fuengirola in the the other direction. These locations offer a wide choice of restaurants and bars and night clubs. The complex is adjacent to Cabopino Golf.
